The city of Hanford operates the Historic Courthouse Square Office and Restaurant complex in the heart of Downtown Hanford.

The complex consists of the original Kings County Courthouse erected in 1896 and the original Kings County Sheriff's Office constructed in 1897. These historic facilities were saved from the wrecking ball by the City in the late 1970s and now serve as office/retail and restaurant facilities downtown. Courthouse Square offers a variety of office/retail locations for large or small office or retail businesses.
