How Income Limits are Understood/Used
For the purpose of this program, the City of Hanford utilizes "household income" for determining program eligibility. "Household" is defined as one or more persons who will occupy the housing unit.
Projected gross annual income of the applicant's household will be used to determine whether the family meets the above income limits and also determines the amount of assistance. To determine income eligibility, the city will request current paystubs, tax returns, bank statements, and proof of any other type of reoccurring income for all adults 18 years or older that reside in the home (regardless of who will be named on the loan).
