Hanford Recreation Services provides a wide array of programs to fill your leisure hours.  Enjoy activities for the entire family such as special classes, youth programs, older adult activities, sports for youth and adults and community events. Our customers are our #1 priority. Our goal is to create community through people, parks and programs.

Cathy is a life-long resident of Kings County. She graduated from Lemoore High School, received her AA Degree from West Hills College and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation Administration from California State University, Fresno.  Cathy completed her internship with the City of Hanford Recreation Department under the supervision of Recreation Director, Glenda Mae Drennen. She was hired by the City as the first full time Recreation Supervisor in 1974. She held that position until 1983, when Director Drennen retired and Cathy became Recreation Director. Cathy retired in January 2007 but has returned on an interim basis until such time as a new Director is hired.
