Architectural treasures like the Civic Auditorium, Hanford Fox Theater, and Carnegie Museum and Museum at China Alley make our downtown a wander to explore. Main Street Hanford:
Main Street Hanford is the leader and coordinator for the continuous revitalization of downtown Hanford. As a certified Main Street community, the organization follows the National Trust's 4 point approach. Members of the organization and numerous volunteers work to provide a vibrant downtown through Promotions, Organization, Economic Restructuring, and Design. Quality events bring thousands of locals and visitors downtown to the heart and soul of the City. Thursday evenings from May to October is the Thursday Night Market Place with its Certified Farmers' Market and live music. There is also the Wine and Chocolate Tasting held in December. The Hanford Conference and Visitor’s Agency:
The Hanford Conference and Visitor’s Agency is an excellent source for the conference facilities and event planning, movie production support, and provides walking and driving tours. Hanford's Historic Walking Tours are a delightful way in which to view the beautification efforts of this community, as well as to reminisce into the past. The guided tours are conducted by members of the Hanford Show-Offs Tour Guide Club, a totally volunteer group who truly have fun "showing off" Hanford. Driving tours are made on Famous Freddy the Friendly Fire Truck. The Hanford Visitor Agency is the city's designated agency to assist, facilitate and coordinate film production in Hanford, providing a vital link between the community and the production industry. The agency will do everything possible to assist with locations, settings, buildings, services, resources and people. The Visitor Agency organized a trip by Huell Howser of PBS’s California Road Trip came to visit the Downtown Hanford on May 20 and 21, 2008, that thousands of people attended.
