Parks and Recreation

We’ve got something really exciting in the works! On July 1, you will be able to play the coolest augmented reality app from @AgentsofDiscovery at our parks! It’s filled with fun educational content, so don’t worry parents, you’ll definitely be happy! Oh, and it’s FREE. Come check it out this weekend.

Perfect for families looking to spend time outdoors, Hanford Parks and Recreation has utilized the Agents of Discovery platform to create a free, educational app to get youth active, engaged and learning about the world around them.

Participants will assume the exciting role of a Secret Agent on a Mission as they gain new insights into the natural world. Challenges (or questions) are created by park staff members and are geo triggered as kids walk the parks.
This is a state-wide initiative put on by California Park & Recreation Society with 28 other Cities besides Hanford. All sites are launching on July 1 as part of the Parks Make Life Better campaign and the app will be available until July 31, 2018.

Enjoy all of Hanford Parks and discover something new!
